M-corridor culvert survey.
14 km, 11 structures.
Example scenario
In this scenario, a highways operator needs a co-referenced survey of a 14-km corridor including 11 hidden culvert structures, ahead of a major refurbishment scope. Traditional ground survey would have required lane closures, traffic management and weeks of access.
Method
PPK-controlled drone photogrammetry across the corridor, supplemented with terrestrial reality capture at each culvert head and tail wall. Single coordinate frame referenced to OSGB36 throughout.
Output
Single registered point cloud, orthomosaic, per-culvert condition pack with annotated defects, and a web-published interactive corridor viewer for stakeholder access.
Illustrative commercial value
Substantial reduction in survey access cost versus a ground-only method, with faster refurbishment scoping and no traffic-management requirement.
Illustrative social value
Two technician roles delivered through the SBS workforce pathway across capture and processing phases. Evidence pack supplied for client framework reporting.
